Calandro Engineering was founded in Shepparton in 1966, by Eugenio “Jim” Calandro, a passionate visionary, engineer, and strong supporter of local community and enterprise; a legacy that has passed on through his son Mario (Managing director – Pictured).

Over the past 50 years, Calandro Engineering has emerged as leaders in the Australian agricultural and heavy transport industries, with proven expertise in the development and manufacturing of many specialized components and infrastructures. Today Calandro Engineering stands tall in the Goulburn Valley as one of the longest standing and most respected engineering firms in Australia.

Calandro Engineering are the proud designers and manufactures of The ‘Aussie Hitch’ Turntable. The first and only all Australian owned, designed and manufactured fifth-wheel, which continues to be produced at our Shepparton factory using all Australian components. As strong supporters of local industry every product we manufacture is 100% Australian and we are passionate and committed to ensuring that it remains this way for many years to come.
